Special Weather Statement issued January 10 at 1:25PM AKST by NWS Juneau AK

A series of weather fronts tracking across the AK Panhandle Sunday through Tuesday have the potential to produce impactful snow accumulations for the Haines and Klondike Highways. Highest probability for accumulating snow will be Sunday and Monday nights. Varying snow levels between sea level and 3000 feet with each advancing front will cause precipitation type to shift from rain to snow and back again resulting in uncertainty in snow totals.
