Ice accumulations of up to one quarter of an inch. * WHERE...Susitna Valley. * WHEN...Until 3 PM AKST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the afternoon commute Monday and the early morning commute Tuesday. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Freezing rain has been reported across much of the area, leading to numerous reports of slick conditions on untreated roads and other surfaces. Although temperatures are rising to above freezing in many locations, ice may continue to accrue as ground and surface temperatures remain below freezing for an extended period.

The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Highest snow totals are expected along the Glenn Highway from Glacier View to Tolsona and along the Richardson Highway from the Edgerton Highway intersection south to Thompson Pass. Highest ice totals are expected along the Edgerton Highway and Richardson Highway south of the Edgerton intersection.

Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Thompson Pass. * WHEN...Until 6 AM AKST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be extremely hazardous. Visibilities significantly reduced within heavy snow. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Highest snow totals expected at the higher elevations of the pass with more mixed precipitation expected at lower elevations of the pass.

Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strongest winds will occur overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning. Weaker winds expected Thursday with gusts 40 to 50 mph.
