Travel could be very difficult. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snowfall is expected Thursday afternoon and evening.

Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest New Mexico and southwest Texas. * WHEN...Until 5 AM MST Friday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday and Friday morning commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Higher snow totals of up to 5 inches possible in the Gila Region, Black Range, and uplands of the New Mexico Bootheel.

Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
