A few showers or isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out between 3pm and 8pm over interior portions of the central and southern Peninsula as high temperatures combine with the afternoon seabreeze. High temperatures this afternoon could tie or break records today at several locations. Feels-like temperatures in the upper 90s to low 100s places nearly the entire state in a “moderate” risk for heat-related illnesses for those outside without protective measures. Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report EOC Activation Level: Level 2 Meteorological Summary: High pressure remaining centered over the state will keep the weather dry and unseasonably warm statewide again today. Feels-like temperatures will be able to reach the middle and upper 90s by the mid-afternoon hours statewide. A few inland locations could exceed the 100 degree mark for heat index. This places nearly the entire state in a “moderate” risk for heat-related illnesses for those outside without protective measures.
