High Surf Advisory issued January 15 at 2:09PM ChST until January 17 at 3:00PM ChST by NWS Tiyan GU

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet at Kosrae, and 9 to 12 feet at Majuro. * WHERE...East facing reefs of Kosrae and Majuro. * WHEN...Until 3 PM ChST Friday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Minor wave run-up or splash up is possible, especially around high tide. Surf still remains elevated along the north facing reefs, but currently below hazardous levels. Another pulse of northerly swell later this week may cause surf to become hazardous along north facing reefs.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Portions of eastern and north central Arkansas. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Monday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 13 inches, with the highest amounts north of Interstate 70. Ice accumulations up to one third of an inch also possible, primarily south of Interstate 70. * WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Kansas and central, north central, northeast, northwest, and west central Missouri. * WHEN...From Saturday evening through late Sunday night. * IMPACTS...Travel could become extremely difficult. Windy conditions could also create blowing snow and very poor visibility.
