* WHAT...A strong northward-flowing longshore current will exist at all central Florida Atlantic beaches today, in addition to a moderate risk for dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...Coastal Volusia, Brevard, Indian River, Saint Lucie, and Martin counties. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...The northward-flowing current could pull swimmers into deeper water, making them more susceptible to dangerous rip currents. It will also generate strong rip currents near piers, jetties, and reefs.
