Fire Weather Watch issued December 29 at 2:12PM CST until December 30 at 6:00PM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

...Critical conditions for the spread of wildfires Monday afternoon... .A developing low pressure system in the central plains will increase winds and lower relative humidity across the northern Rio Grande Plains, Edwards Plateau, and western Hill Country Monday afternoon. Sustained winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph are expected, along with minimum relative humidity dropping to 10 to 15 percent by early afternoon. The winds will die down and humidity recover after sunset, thus reducing the threat below critical levels. This watch may be upgraded to a Red Flag Warning overnight after analysis of additional observations

At 212 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 11 miles east of Daytona Beach Shores to near New Smyrna Beach to DeBary to 8 miles southeast of Bushnell. Movement was southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Orlando, Deltona, Daytona Beach, Kissimmee, and Port Orange.
