A band of snow showers will traverse the region Friday afternoon into the evening. Most areas will only see an hour or two of snowfall. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Where heavier bursts of snow, this could overcome warmer road temperatures and potentially result in some slushy accumulation on untreated paved surfaces.

At 224 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Lufkin, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Center, Huntington, San Augustine, Timpson, Garrison, Melrose, Martinsville, Woden, Etoile, Neuville, Bland Lake, Appleby, Chireno, Denning, Arcadia, Stockman, Jericho and Calgary.
