* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 20 to 23 feet. * WHERE...South Central Oregon Coast from Port Orford northward. * WHEN...Until 10 PM PST this evening. * IMPACTS...Large breaking waves will create hazardous conditions along and within the surf zone, and could inundate beaches and low lying shorelines. A front moving northwest from the Gulf of Alaska will bring modest snow accumulations across much of the central interior, including the Fairbanks bowl. Most areas can expect 2 to 4 inches of snow, with the heaviest snow accumulations across higher terrain surrounding Fairbanks. People traveling the Parks Highways between Fairbanks and Nenana should expect areas of low visibility and slippery travel conditions by Thursday evening and Friday.

Surface observations and MNDOT road cameras reveal dense fog across east central Minnesota. Satellite illustrates the eastward movement of low stratus/areas of dense fog, thus it appears likely that visibility will deteriorate for locations to the east across western Wisconsin in the coming hours. Visibility may fall below 1/2 mile at times. Drivers are encouraged to slow down, use low beams, and leave plenty of distance between the vehicles. Additionally, a few slick spots appear possible on area roadways due to reports of freezing fog. Visibility will improve as winds increase after daybreak.
