Precipitation will move in tonight with snow likely. Elevations above 4000 feet will generally see 1 to 2 inches of snowfall. An isolated amount up to 3 inches is possible across locations such as Newfound Gap and Mt. LeConte. The light snowfall may produce some snow covered roadways by early morning, especially secondary roads, bridges and overpasses, and higher elevations. Drive with caution and slow down. An arctic cold front will move through on Sunday afternoon and evening bringing snow showers and dropping temperatures. While accumulations will generally be less than one half inch, quick bursts of snow will lead to reductions in visibility and slick conditions at times. Some snow squalls are possible.
