According to PTWC an earthquake occurred at about 63 miles north of Isla de Mona at 227 AM AST. The earthquake has been reported as across portions of western PR. Based on location and magnitude the earthquake was not sufficient to generate a tsunami damaging to Puerto Rico...the Virgin Islands...the U.S. Atlantic and Gulf of America coasts or eastern Canada. Some of these areas may experience non-damaging sea level changes.
