* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 ft. * WHERE...Along east facing reefs of Kosrae. * WHEN...Until 3 AM ChST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Latest model trends suggest surf could fall below hazardous levels of 8 ft a little sooner than Thursday. However, as early as Thursday night, a large north swell will build into the region and could bring hazardous surf to north facing reefs then.
