* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 5 to 8 feet. Surf will be highest across west-facing beaches. Strong and dangerous rip currents are expected. * WHERE...Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches. * WHEN...Until 3 AM PST Monday. * IMPACTS...There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats nearshore. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Minor coastal flooding is possible within a couple of hours of the morning high tides over the weekend. High tides will increase to near 6 feet between 7 AM

* WHAT...South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. * WHERE...Del Norte County, Humboldt Interior, and Southwestern Humboldt. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 3 AM PST Friday. * IMPACTS...Wind gusts will be particularly strong along windward ridges and exposed coastal headlands. There is an increased risk of tree branches and other debris on roadways. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
