Winds gusting as high as 55 mph. * WHERE...Eastern Tucker County. * WHEN...From noon today to 8 AM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Roads will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions, and near whiteout conditions at times due to gusty wind and blowing snow. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes. Strong winds could also cause damage to trees and power lines.

Special Weather Statement issued December 11 at 3:02AM EST by NWS State College PA

Locally dense fog continues to adversely impact travel across higher elevations and particularly along Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County. This fog is expected to continue through 10 AM this morning, with visibilities one-quarter of a mile and below at higher elevations. If you plan to travel early today, expect rapidly changing conditions and areas of very poor visibility. Motorists are encouraged to increase distance between other vehicles and use low-beam headlights to alert other motorists of your presence.
