At 309 AM PST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 9 nm northeast of Avalon, moving east at 10 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

Periods of snow are expected to develop across the Northern Interior today and continue through Wednesday. Snowfall totals over the 3 day stretch of around 3 to 6 inches is expected. Expect lower snow totals from Livengood to Manly Hot Springs where snow will be more intermittent. Expect areas of blowing snow and low visibility along the Elliott Highway and over the Steese Highway Summits into Tuesday.
