At 322 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Bent Creek to near Mt Airy. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Appomattox... Brookneal... Charlotte Court House... Phenix... Mt Airy... Red House... and Bent Creek.

Light to moderate snow will overspread central Indiana during the midday and afternoon hours Saturday. Snow will continue Saturday night...with heaviest intensity expected in evening hours near the US-50 corridor. Light snow will taper off from west to east late Saturday night. Total accumulation is expected to range from less than an inch along and north of the Interstste 74 corridor...to mainly 1-2 inches across southwestern and southern counties. Isolated accumulations near 3 inches are possible southwest of Bloomington. Slow down, drive carefully, and allow extra time to reach your destination.
