ESFPDT Synopsis: Rain and high mountain snow from and multiple systems this weekend and early next week will lead to rising water levels on area streams and rivers. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 5 inches are expected in the Cascades and 1 to 3 inches in the eastern Oregon mountains. In addition, temperatures will be rising to the 40s and lower 50s in the mountains which will lead to snow melt adding even more water to area rivers and streams. A strong low tracking into the eastern Bering Sea tonight will bring north to northwesterly winds gusting as high as 50 mph for the Pribilof Islands. Confidence has increased that the islands will be impacted by snow on the western edge of precipitation associated with the low. Snow showers, combined with gusty winds, are expected to reduce visibilities to below one mile at times, with potential for visibilities dropping as low as one-half mile. Travel may become hazardous tonight through Sunday morning. Use caution if traveling during this time.

A strong northwest wind will continue to cause abnormally low water levels on the tidal Delaware River and its tidal tributaries with the low tides through early Friday morning. The low water levels may cause navigation problems around the time of low tide this through Friday morning. Water levels are expected to drop between 2 to 3 feet below Mean Lower Low Water. Mariners are advised to use caution when navigating in shallow waters to avoid running aground. Low tide occurs at Reedy Point, Delaware at 1:49 AM. Low tide at the Philadelphia Coast Guard Station takes place at 4:17
