Snow and ice that melts today will quickly refreeze this evening, creating a renewed risk of icy and snow-packed roads and walkways through Saturday morning. Icy spots could form on paved surfaces such as bridges and overpasses, primary and secondary roads, parking lots, and sidewalks and driveways. While travel has improved some during the daylight hours, conditions will quickly deteriorate after sunset Friday. Temperatures today allowed for additional melting of snow and ice. The snow and ice that did melt created runoff that will quickly freeze this evening.
