An area of snow showers continues to push southeast across Charlotte and vicinity this morning. These snow showers were responsible for as much as 1.5 inches of accumulation as they moved across the I-40 earlier this morning, and up to an inch of snow is possible across portions of Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, and Union Counties before the snow showers push out of the area prior to sunrise. Despite warm road temperatures, the snow may fall quickly enough to accumulate on roads and cause hazardous driving conditions.
