The highest snowfall will fall near the Missouri border in southwest and parts of south central Iowa. Very dry air will be moving into Iowa from north to south with winds from the north averaging 10 to 20 mph. This will cause a very sharp gradient in snowfall amounts with lower amounts in the northern part of a given county and higher amounts in the southern part

Snow showers continue off of Lake of the Woods into northern Koochiching County through tonight. A few additional inches of fluffy snowfall are forecast for areas north of a line from Baudette to Bigfork to Nett Lake. This includes Littlefork and International Falls. The light snow will accumulate on roads, bridges, and untreated surfaces. Expect slippery stretches on area roads and use caution if traveling.
