Strong breaking waves and strong currents will make swimming and surfing dangerous.

* WHAT...Seas 12 to 20 feet this evening, lowering to 10 to 16 feet Thursday. * WHERE...All Hawaiian Coastal Waters except Maalaea Bay. * WHEN...Until 6 PM HST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An extra-large west-northwest (320 degrees) swell is at its peak, producing dangerously large surf along exposed north and west facing shores. The swell will begin a steady deline tonight that will continue through Thursday and the remainder of the week.

Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A few of the typically colder locations could fall to freezing.

This could worsen air quality over time. * WHERE...Valley locations across southern Oregon. West of the Cascades, this includes the Umpqua, Illinois, Applegate, and Rogue valleys. East of the Cascades, this includes Klamath Falls, Sprague River, Chiloquin, Chemult, Silver Lake, Paisley, and surrounding areas. * WHEN...Until 4 PM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Poor air quality may cause issues for people with respiratory problems.

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Total snow accumulations from 3 to a little over 4 feet in the most persistent lake snows. * WHERE...Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie Counties. The greatest accumulations are expected across western Chautauqua County and Southern Erie County. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult to impossible with deep snow cover on roads and extremely poor visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday evening commute.
