At 356 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6 miles north of Volland, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects and vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Alma, McFarland, Keene, Paxico, and Maple Hill. This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 316 and 345.

Temperatures are expected to rise into the 60s by mid-afternoon Sunday. As relative humidity values drop near 25 percent and occasional west to northwest wind gusts reach 25 mph, the fire danger risks will become elevated between 1 pm and 4pm. Caution should be used for all outdoor activities, and planned burns should be postponed. Conditions will begin to improve by late afternoon. Elevated fire danger is again expected on Monday afternoon.
