Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strongest winds will be near the immediate Lake Michigan shoreline this evening into the overnight hours.

Sneaker waves can unexpectedly run significantly farther up the beach than normal, including over rocks and jetties. These waves can suddenly knock people off their feet and quickly pull them into the cold ocean waters, where currents will be stronger

* WHAT...A long period westerly swell will result in an increased risk of sneaker waves and rip currents. Breaking waves up to 15 feet along favored break points. * WHERE...Northern Monterey Bay. * WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Sneaker waves can unexpectedly run significantly farther up the beach than normal, including over rocks and jetties. These waves can suddenly knock people off their feet and quickly pull them into the cold ocean waters, where currents will be stronger than normal. These waves can also carry driftwood logs and other debris.

Maximum ebb currents will occur around 230 AM Tuesday, 245 PM Tuesday and 315 AM Wednesday. The afternoon ebb on Tuesday will be strong. * WHERE...Grays Harbor Bar. * WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft especially when navigating in or near harbor entrances.

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 6 to 9 feet with dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...Ventura County Beaches. * WHEN...From 4 AM Tuesday to 4 AM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is a brief lull in the surf on Wednesday, but the surf builds again into Thursday. This High Surf Advisory will likely need to be extended.
