Wet snow will move through the region, bringing widespread 1 to 3 inches of snowfall. Isolated amounts as high as 4 inches will be possible. This snowfall may result in some slippery roadways. Those traveling are reminded to give themselves extra time to reach their destination and drive at an appropriate speed for the conditions.

Winds blowing from the southwest are forecast to increase to 15-20 mph late morning through the afternoon hours. Gusts of 30-40 mph will be possible, which may affect holiday decorations and blow around any unsecured items. Wind gusts are forecast to diminish somewhat by early evening. Scattered rain and snow showers are forecast this evening and tonight as a strong cold front moves through the region.
