* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...A portion of central New York. * WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 4 AM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Embedded snow squalls may reduce visibility to near zero at times Thursday morning. Winds will become increasingly gusty Thursday, as the event transitions to lake effect snow.

Rain and snow showers this evening will transition to snow showers by tonight across Central and Eastern Indiana. Snow showers, in addition to rapidly falling temperatures below freezing and gusty winds may result in hazardous travel conditions at times later this evening and into the overnight hours. Gusty winds to 45 mph should limit overall accumulations; however blowing snow may reduce visibility under heavier snow showers.
