The South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) has issued a Code Orange Ozone Action Day for the Catawba and Upstate regions of South Carolina in effect from 10 AM to 8 PM EDT Monday. Low humidity and gusty northwest winds will bring a greater risk of adverse fire behavior and rapid fire spread this afternoon through early this evening. Relative humidity values will drop to 20 to 30 percent, with northwest winds of 12 to 18 mph, gusting 25 to 30 mph.
