Wet snow will move through the region, bringing widespread 1 to 3 inches of snowfall. Isolated amounts as high as 4 inches will be possible. This snowfall may result in some slippery roadways. Those traveling are reminded to give themselves extra time to reach their destination and drive at an appropriate speed for the conditions.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Santee River near Jamestown. * WHEN...Until late Tuesday night. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, water covers numerous logging roads and inundates timber land adjacent to the river. Most access points to Wee Tee State Forest are cut off. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 830 PM EST Saturday, the stage was 9.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Sunday morning to a crest of 10.7 feet Monday evening. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.

* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, 1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 5 to 9 feet expected in the surf zone. * WHERE...Ocracoke Island and Hatteras Island. * WHEN...Until 10 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected. Localized ocean overwash expected for vulnerable areas, which could impact portions of NC-12, especially during high tide. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.

At 437 AM EST, radar indicated areas of intense lake effect moving east at 45 mph. HAZARDS INCLUDE... Winds to 50 mph... Visibility rapidly dropping to less than a quarter of a mile... Locations impacted include... Erie, Meadville, Corry, Edinboro, Titusville, North East, Union City, Girard, Cambridge Springs, Waterford, Albion, Linesville, Wattsburg, Adamsville, Pymatuning Central, Riceville, Harmonsburg, Guys Mills, Pymatuning North, and Atlantic. Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this lake effect snow band. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads are likely to lead to accidents. Consider delaying travel until this snow band passes
