At 501 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Easleyville to 7 miles north of Abita Springs. Movement was southeast at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Kentwood, Greensburg, Roseland, Amite, Tangipahoa, Darlington, Folsom, Easleyville, Amite City, Wilmer, and Covington. This includes Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 44 and 63.

Snow showers will continue across the West Virginia lowlands through this evening. Heavier showers may cause brief, but sharp reductions in visibility, as well as light accumulations on area roadways. Motorists should be advised of the potential for rapidly changing road and visibility conditions. Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous.
