Strong west to northwest winds may gust up to 40 to 50 mph across portions of the Mohawk Valley, Capital Region and the northern and central Taconics through 10 PM this evening. Winds of this magnitude will blow around unsecured objects, and could down a few tree limbs resulting in a few power outages. In addition, these gusty winds may make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles, so motorists are urged to use extra caution through this evening.
