Flint River near Griffin affecting Fayette and Spalding Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Flint River near Griffin. * WHEN...From late tonight to Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Bankfull conditions occur along the river upstream and downstream from the gage at Georgia Highway 16 or Newnan Road. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 PM EST Thursday the stage was 10.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tonight to a crest of 13.5 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage

* WHAT...Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * WHERE...Southern Lake. * WHEN...Until 6 AM PST Friday. * IMPACTS...Wind gusts will be particularly strong along windward ridges and exposed coastal headlands. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds are expected to better mix to lower elevations this evening with gusts over 25 to 35 mph around Clear Lake.
