At 5:40 PM, broadcast media reported funnel clouds near Pana in Christian County. Atmospheric conditions exist across central and eastern Illinois that favor the possible formation of additional cold air funnel clouds this evening. These occur in vertically developed clouds. They may persist for an extended period before dissipating. Low hanging clouds can also appear to dip up and down at times, but they will not show signs of any rapid rotation.
