Poteau River near Panama affecting Le Flore County. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Poteau River near Panama. * WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 33.0 feet, moderate flooding of agricultural lands occurs between Shady Point and Arkoma. Williams Road east of Panama and some local farm roads are flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 33.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning and continue falling, remaining below flood stage. -

For the Jarbidge River...including Jarbidge...elevated river levels are forecast. * WHAT...Increased river flows caused by snowmelt continue. * WHERE...Jarbidge River below Jarbidge. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 5.5 feet, Minor flooding occurs along the Jarbidge River near Jarbidge. Pine Creek and Bluster campgrounds are flooded. * WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central New Mexico, including the following counties, northeastern Curry and southeastern Quay. * WHEN...Until 845 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 551 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms near Wheatland, Grady and Broadview. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area.

Winds gusting as high as 55 mph. * WHERE...Eastern Beaufort Sea Coast. * WHEN...From 7 AM Wednesday to 7 AM AKDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 50 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes.
