* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is occurring. * WHERE...A portion of central Montana, including the following counties, Fergus and Judith Basin. * WHEN...Until 500 PM MST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 548 PM MST, emergency management and highway departments have reported snowmelt flooding in the advisory affecting some roads and areas of poor drainage. - Mild temperatures will lead to additional snowmelt, particularly across western portions of Fergus county and northeast portions of Judith Basin county where there is a lingering but diminishing low elevation snowpack.

A frontal system moving into Prince William Sound early Monday morning will result in an increase in south to southwesterly winds and colder air moving up Cook Inlet on Monday. Sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts 40 to 60 mph are possible from Homer north to Nikiski early Monday morning through late Monday night. Wave heights will also build across Kachemak Bay through the day Monday, leading to rough surf around Homer Spit. People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. Prepare for the possibility of power outages.

A cold front moving through North Dakota this evening into early Saturday morning will produce scattered snow showers and gusty winds. The combination of this snow and northwest winds gusting to near 40 mph, will result in periodic reduced visibility one half mile or less at times. Those traveling tonight will want to check the latest road conditions before departing. Use extra caution, as roadways will become slick and visibility in falling and blowing snow will be reduced.

There is increasing likelihood that a winter storm moving into the area will impact the Central Interior, including Fairbanks, Thursday into Friday, and lasting through the weekend. Potential impacts from this storm include southerly winds of 25 to 35+ mph and blowing snow, moisture-laden snowfall transitioning to rain, and then a changeover back to more snowfall along a strong arctic front Sunday into Monday. Given the warmth of the airmass and the amount of liquid precipitation, travel will become quite difficult late week into the weekend. * WHAT...North winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 40 to 50 mph expected. Winds will lull overnight, but pick up again Wednesday morning. The strongest winds will be focused near Lake Mohave and Laughlin. * WHERE...Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Lake Havasu and Fort Mohave, and San Bernardino County-Upper Colorado River Valley. * WHEN...Until 4 PM PST /5 PM MST/ Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and result in areas of blowing dust. Expect hazardous boating conditions on area lakes with wave heights up to 3 feet, especially on Lake Mohave.
