At 602 PM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles north of Tupman, or 19 miles west of Bakersfield, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, pea size hail and brief heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Rosedale, Harris Ranch, Buttonwillow, and Bakersfield.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional up to half of an inch of rain is expected through this evening.
