* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Georgia, including the following counties, Appling, Bacon, Brantley, Pierce, Ware and Wayne. * WHEN...Until 815 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 609 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. -

* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero, coldest during the overnight and morning hours. * WHERE...Portions of Central and South Central Kansas. * WHEN...Until noon CST Thursday. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Special Weather Statement issued January 5 at 6:09PM EST by NWS Morristown TN

An area of rain will move across the northern Plateau and northeast Tennessee this evening. As of 6 pm, pockets of sub- freezing temperatures remain which may make travel difficult especially across elevated surfaces, such as bridges and overpasses. The warm air advection will eventually warm temperatures above freezing overnight but an hour or two of sub-freezing temperatures are expected. Drivers should use caution and only travel if necessary this evening.

For the Wind Advisory, north winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected. * WHERE...Ellis, Harper, Woods, and Woodward Counties. * WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until midnight CST tonight. For the Wind Advisory, from 3 AM to 6 PM CST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
