At 628 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Nixonville to near Myrtle Beach. Movement was northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Shallotte, Sunset Beach, Little River, North Myrtle Beach Airport, Cherry Grove Inlet, Iredell, Carolina Shores, Calabash, Makatoka, Freeland, Supply, Exum, Bughill, Longwood, Barefoot Landing Area Of North Myrtle Beach, Nixonville, Wampee, and Ash.

* WHAT...Increased threat of sneaker waves expected. * WHERE...Coastal Del Norte, Northern Humboldt Coast, Southwestern Humboldt and Mendocino Coast Counties. * WHEN...Until 10 AM PST this morning. . * IMPACTS...Large, unexpected waves can sweep across the beach without warning, sweeping people into the sea from rocks, jetties, and beaches. These sneaker waves can also move large objects such as logs, crushing anyone caught underneath.

Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. There will be an increased risk of rock and land slides along roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 629 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain.
