Although relative humidity will be higher Tuesday, temperatures will be warmer and winds will be stronger during the afternoon and early evening hours. Rain is not expected to develop soon enough to have an impact on fuel moisture during the warmest part of the day on Tuesday. So, in coordination with forestry officials an Increased Fire Danger Statement remains in effect for North Carolina and South Carolina for Tuesday. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats nearshore.

Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is a brief lull in the surf on Wednesday, but the surf builds again into Thursday.
