Special Weather Statement issued January 25 at 7:18PM EST by NWS Gaylord MI
Bands of heavy snow with southwest to west winds gusting up to 35 to 40 mph will impact much of Eastern Upper Michigan this evening. This will lead to very low visibilities and blowing/drifting snow. The worst conditions are expected through 10 PM tonight. These bands of heavy snow will move quickly over the area, resulting in brief and localized impacts. Heavy snowfall may result in hazardous travel, including along I-75, and drivers are encouraged to plan extra time to reach their destination and increase space between vehicles.
