The combination of persistent dry conditions, increasing winds, and multiple ongoing fires will lead to an increased fire danger threat for portions of eastern North Carolina tomorrow. Dense freezing fog with visibilities at a half mile or less is beginning to extend along Oregon Highway 11. Observations show the fog has extended at least as far south as Athena. The fog bank is expected to continue expanding south along the northern Blue Mountain foothills, impacting the Pendleton area and portions of Interstate-84 later tonight.
