Rises in small streams. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 736 AM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in the advisory area causing ponding of water on roadways in Emporia and other poor draining areas in Lyon County. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. -

ESFSEW Additional frontal systems will bring precipitation to Western Washington at times through the weekend. While precipitation will be much less with the systems today and into this weekend, the lack of much of a break will keep rivers over the Southwest Interior rising into the weekend. The potential for the lower reaches of the Chehalis River to flood on Saturday continues to be monitored.
