WEATHER... * An area of snow continues to track southeastward this evening. New snowfall, combined with gusty winds up to 45 mph, will lead to periods of blowing snow and reduced visibility. New snow accumulations will be limited to less than a quarter inch due to the effects of blowing and drifting. IMPACTS... * Blowing snow may result in rapid reductions of visibility to less than one mile. * Variable snow cover and slick roadways may lead to rapid fluctuations in driving conditions.

Light snow has ended across the region. However, temperatures have fallen below freezing and are expected to drop into the teens to around 20 degrees by Tuesday morning. Lingering moisture on area roads will lead to icy patches, especially on bridges and overpasses. Please use caution if traveling during this time period. Drivers should slow down and leave extra space between vehicles.

Young children, the elderly and the homeless are especially vulnerable to the cold. Take measures to protect them.
