A short period of gusty west to northwest winds is expected this evening. Wind gusts up to 40 to 45 mph will be possible at times through midnight tonight, particularly near and north of I-80 in Illinois and northwest Indiana. If traveling this evening, plan for windy conditions which may make travel difficult, especially for high profile vehicles on north to south oriented roadways.
