Red Flag Warning issued April 13 at 6:37AM MDT until April 13 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa NM

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO CONTINUE ON SUNDAY... .Winds aloft will increase as upper level ridging breaks down and shifts east of the area, and an upper level trough approaches the Great Basin. This will continue to promote lee troughing east of the Rockies, while deep mixing taps into the stronger winds aloft. While the winds won't be terribly extreme by spring standards, afternoon RH values will drop deep into the single digits again, with lower-10s confined to higher elevations above 7500 feet. When coupled with very dry fuels, Critical Fire Weather conditions are expected Sunday afternoon.
