The combination of dry fuels & low relative humidity continues to raise concerns for dangerous fire behavior. Moisture will increase across the region Tuesday but winds are expected to be gusty in the afternoon, likely exceeding 20 mph in the southern Midlands and CSRA. Due to increasing winds and ongoing fires, elevated fire danger is expected to continue. The South Carolina Forestry Commission has issued a burn ban because of this.
