* WHAT...Dense fog will reduce visibility to 1/4 to 1/2 NM. * WHERE...Galveston Bay, Matagorda Bay, and portions of the Gulf of Mexico. * WHEN...Until 11 AM CST this morning. * IMPACTS...Visibility has been slow to improve this morning, and fog bringing visibility below 1 NM looks to continue another hour or so. This low visibility will continue to make navigation difficult.

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 18 to 23 feet expected in the surf zone. * WHERE...North Coast and Central Coast zones. * WHEN...Until 10 PM PST this evening. * IMPACTS...Large waves may wash over beaches, jetties, and other structures unexpectedly. People can be swept off rocks and jetties and drown while observing high surf. Localized beach erosion is possible.
