A strong frontal system moving north from the Gulf of Alaska will bring locally heavy rain and snow showers Monday evening and overnight into Tuesday. The Fairbanks area and west to Nenana and Manley Hot Springs and east to Salcha can expect rain showers to begin Monday evening after 6pm and transition to snow or a mix of rain and snow overnight into Tuesday morning.
