A band of snow will move across the Brooks Range this morning and continue through tonight. Snowfall amounts around 2 to 4 inches. There could be low visibility and some blowing snow in the passes along the Dalton Highway as well through tonight.

Periods of freezing drizzle with a trace to .05 inch accumulation of ice is expected this morning for the Pribilof Islands The freezing drizzle has developed in the low clouds ahead of a low pressure system lifting north into the Bering Sea which is expected to bring snow showers and strong northeasterly winds gusting as high as 35-45 mph. This could lead to several hours of blowing snow through this evening, with visibilities dropping below one mile during heavier showers. Snow totals will be about one inch, and conditions are forecast to improve tonight as winds diminish. Please use caution

The band of snow continues through Wednesday afternoon. The heaviest snowfall will be along elevated terrain with Kaltag and Nulato expected to see 5 to 7 additional inches of snow with areas north of there seeing 3 to 6 inches. Winds will be generally 5 to 10 mph from the north or northeast with some stronger gusts possible.
