Scattered light rain showers and periods of drizzle are expected across portions of southern Vermont through this evening. Temperatures will continue to be close to freezing in some sheltered locations. While mainly rain or drizzle are expected, localized areas of freezing rain or freezing drizzle may occur. This may produce a glaze of ice on untreated roads and surfaces. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling this evening. Slow down, and be aware that roads that appear wet may in fact be icy.

Temperatures in the higher elevations of western Albany County are hovering around 32 degrees, which will allow for some snow, sleet, or freezing rain to mix in through the afternoon and early evening.
