The River Watch team observed a roughly 30 mile run of ice upstream of Aniak the past few days...with intact ice closer to Upper and Lower Kalskag. ESFAFC As of 19:15 AKDT Thursday, ice began running past Stony River and water levels rose approximately 2 ft. As of 21:00 AKDT the ice continues to run and the water levels are steady. The River Watch team on Wednesday saw no intact ice until 8 miles upstream of the Tatlawitsuk River. River Watch also confirmed on Wednesday that the Tatlawitsuk, Swift, and Stony rivers were all free of ice. On Thursday evening, local residents in Stony River assume this run is intact ice that was released between Devils Elbow and upstream of the Tatlawitsuk River. At this time, the

ESFAFC As of 16:30 AKDT Wednesday, an approximate 30 mile run of ice was moving downstream between Crooked Creek and Napaimute. The ice run is medium-to-large disintegrating sheets intermixed with large chunks, and moving at ~2 mph. Below Napaimute is open water until near Chuathbaluk where intact ice at varying stages of strength and decay extends all the way to Bethel. Residence in Aniak and Crow Village should expect to see water levels rise overnight as the upriver ice run meets the stronger intact ice sheets downstream and water and ice push through Birch Crossing and overtop the still ice-choked
