KAVL Runway Closures and Terminal Ramp Update

KAVL will have overnight runway closures beginning Monday night (Tuesday morning, June 17) through Thursday night (Friday morning, June 20), from 0400Z–0900Z. The following initial NOTAMs have been published, with additional notices expected in the coming days. Please monitor NOTAMs closely for updates: AVL 06/039 AVL RWY 17/35 CLSD 2506170400–2506170900 AVL 06/040 AVL TWY ALL CLSD 2506170400–2506170900 In addition, the micro-phasing plan is now underway, resulting in intermittent gate closures through the end of July. Disaster Assistance Available at One-Day Events in Oklahoma and Logan Counties OKLAHOMA CITY – In coordination with the State of Oklahoma, FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will be supporting two community pop-up events this week to help survivors of the March wildfires. Residents can visit the one-day pop-up sites to meet with representatives from FEMA and SBA. Representatives can assist with registrations, checking the status of applications, and answering questions regarding disaster assistance. No appointment is necessary. INITIAL PUBLIC NOTICE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTYWIDE BACKUP GENERATORS AND PUMPS INITIAL PUBLIC NOTICE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTYWIDE BACKUP GENERATORS AND PUMPS SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA LPDM-PJ-09-CA-2024-001 The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) intends to provide federal financial assistance under the Legislative Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program to San Joaquin County in San Joaquin County, California, to improve water and storm drainage system reliability and resiliency against power outages during storm and flood events. The proposed action would mitigate impacts from flood hazards by installing five emergency backup generators and upgrading one pump at existing pump stations. Pursuant to
